I don't think it made through the wire. The blog displayed some unusual behavior when I hit "publish". The point I made is that theologies are multi-dimensional but they can be placed on a continuum regarding a single dimension. This results in an over-simplification but it reveals how one theology relates to another along that single line of dimension and is therefore useful. Arminianism and Calvinism are complex theologies but they can be compared in regard to the dimension of God's sovereignty. This is the distinction that most observers make. Trinitarianism is clearly Arminian with regard to God's sovereignty. The fact that Trinitarians believe that human free will exists takes them out of the Calvinist zone. Trinitarians are really Methodists with a preoccupation with perichoresis.

-- NeoAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08487906691943831671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-52912413020249030.post-72045324121237049002014-09-01T20:36:34.718+12:002014-09-01T20:36:34.718+12:00Tkach: After much thought, we're now Protestan...Tkach: After much thought, we're now Protestant.
Clerics: Good, are you Calvinist or Arminian?
Ted J.: Don't know, we should rely primarily on Jesus' words for this.
Critics: You mean you trust the Gospels in a post Jesus Seminar era?Minimalisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07394978086891772878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-52912413020249030.post-79678823291951656662014-08-31T16:25:55.609+12:002014-08-31T16:25:55.609+12:00I think the "evangelical movement" will ...I think the "evangelical movement" will die a slow painful death and that's how it should be.Corkyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15894537940881776504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-52912413020249030.post-28744737676131879282014-08-30T17:39:04.354+12:002014-08-30T17:39:04.354+12:00Johnston: "continuum"?
