Those dippy British Israelites

If you ever thought BI advocates (yes, they do still exist) were the cautious and considered types when it comes to evaluating evidence, take a look at this. Wishful thinking and apologetics - and there isn't much difference between the two - mixed together in a powerful cocktail of credulity.

  2. It's lapses such as this by the British Israelites that make me doubt their fantastic etymology of British from the Hebrew berit-ish.

Anyway, when are you putting forward a stupendous Masters topic to do, now that you are qualified not to have to listen to other people?

  3. Oh no Deane - surely you're not in any doubt over berit-ish!

Next you'll be telling me that the dun and din in Dunedin aren't a prophetic fulfilment of the tribe of Dan laying down a serpent's trail (Gen. 49:17; Judges 18:29).

Qualified not to listen to other people? I suspect I began doing that well in advance of the piece of paper ;-)

  4. I'm detecting that none of you believe this story is real. Ha! Well, it is AND NASA computers also found the missing time that would result in Joshua's long day where he stopped the earth from rota.....I mean the Sun from going down "for about a whole day."

So the Bible says it, I believe it, that does it for me. Prophecy comes alive!!! I mean archaeology and cosmology..sorry

    :)

  5. Dennis,

Regarding the debunked “LONG DAY OF JOSHUA” hoax which you referenced-

Not long ago, I witnessed that lie repeated by John Hagee on his program on Daystar.

Mr Hagee bears a striking resemblance to the "Chubby" character on the original Little Rascals TV program.

I wish that Mr. Hagee would stop being a modern rascal, and quit telling "chubbies" in order to fill his donation basket.

BTW, this also makes me think of the tall tales of Ron Wyatt, David Barton, and others who would like to both persuade others and get their donation baskets filled.
