Michele Bachmann wants to be President of the United States.
Well, Americans can choose whoever they like. This weekend Kiwis go to the polls to elect a new government of their own, and that's tribulation enough for me.
But Bachmann's latest flip flop on religious affiliation is just bizarre. It's all documented here.
A news story I saw the other day noted at least four different U.S. Republican Presidential candidates believe God told them to run for the job (in some form or other).
ReplyDeletePart of me wonders if He really DID do that -- to humble all of them, when they fall short of the nomination.

ReplyDeleteI don't think that "god" speaking to those worldly politicians is God at all (not even to "humble" them); for He "is not the author of confusion" after all.

ReplyDeleteI love that old town on the St Croix River, the river runs deep and still there. And man is it cold! Its one of Minnesota's first settlements.
How'd a crank like her come from such a progressive little town?
